![]() ![]() I just realized it was HyperDock that was allowing me to do this, but Ive had the app so long. When comparing Hyperdock vs SMBAct, the Slant community recommends Hyperdock for most people. It also supports the regular stuff, but being able to have such an user-friendly way to intuitively resize the size of apps and their location I only found possible with BetterSnapTool. You need a third party app like BetterSnapTool or Cinch. ![]() So depending on the size I want, I hover the desired bar to make the app window resize to the desired size. One as a small bar, just above that a larger bar and at the top an even larger bar. Then I have another one which is the same shape, but till the bottom of the screen and the 3rd one is full screen.To make this easy, I created 3 snap areas. While working on your Mac you create and download a lot of files, but rarely delete anything. Most of the time I also leave some space at the bottom for the menu to pup-up without it overlapping the apps. Helps find and delete files taking up HDD space. All the other apps are mostly in the middle of my screen with a window size of a regular widescreen monitor. The only exceptions are video editors like Davinci Resolve and Photo processing apps like Capture One while. To give you an example and why I use a 34 ultra wide monitor, I nearly never have apps full screen. I tried several others, but I noticed I prefer to create snap areas to make the window snap into a certain area with a certain size. ![]()
